이전 직장에서 하드디스크의 상태를 모니터링 해야되는 경우가 발생하여 참고했던 libatasmart 이다. 해당 라이브러리를 이용하면 하드디스크가 SMART 기능을 지원하는 경우 하드디스크로부터 해당 장치의 여러가지 정보들을 수집할 수 있다. 특히 서버관리자의 경우 이러한 라이브러리로 저장장치의 상태를 지속적으로 모니터링 하는 것이 시스템 관리에 유용하다는 것을 이미 알고 있을 것이다.
필자가 사용하는 방법을 실제 프로젝트에는 썼는데, 별도로 샘플 파일을 만들지 않은 것으로 보인다. 내부에 있는 헤더를 통해 충분히 사용할 수 잇을 거라 생각이되며, 2015년도쯤 사용하였기에 지금은 상위버전이 배포되고 잇을 수 있다.
